Veggie Fest Chicago is a free two-day food and wellness festival in Chicago’s western suburbs, now in its 16th edition. Danada South Park in Lisle turns into an international food court with cooking demos, health talks, live music, yoga tents and a large kids’ area. The food is vegetarian throughout, with a lot of vegan options at the stalls.
What to expect
International food court: dozens of vendors, from Indian and Mexican to Thai and American comfort food
Speakers: doctors, authors and nutrition experts on plant-based eating
Live cooking demos throughout both days
Yoga and meditation tents, plus a Veg Challenge for newcomers
Live music on the main stage, including local school bands
