Is Sadie Sink Vegan? Yes, and It Started With a Sleepover at Woody Harrelson’s

Some people go vegan because of a documentary. Sadie Sink went vegan because of a sleepover.
In 2016, at 14, she filmed The Glass Castle alongside Woody Harrelson, Hollywood’s most durable plant-eater. Somewhere in there came a three-day stay with his family, all of them vegan, and the realization that changed her kitchen forever: “By spending time with them, I was able to learn that a vegan lifestyle is totally doable and it’s not as hard as it may seem.”
She never went back. Ten years, one Stranger Things era, a Tony nomination and a Spider-Man casting later, she’s still one of the cleanest vegan records in young Hollywood.
Yes, Sadie Sink is vegan, since 2016, when she was 14. The evidence is as fresh as it gets: PETA featured her on its January 2026 vegan celebrities list, quoting her line that she went vegan “solely because of the animals”.

For the animals, full stop
Plenty of celebrity vegans arrive via health kicks and stay for the ethics. Sink skipped straight to the point, as PETA quotes her: “I went vegetarian and then vegan solely because of the animals. That is kind of the most obvious reason for me.”
Her advice to anyone starting out is the least preachy in this entire series, from her Glamour interview: “It can be pretty intimidating at first, but just take it day by day. Every little choice counts!”

The Harrelson effect
There’s something poetic about the chain of influence here. A stranger on a bus told 24-year-old Woody Harrelson to quit dairy in 1985. Thirty years later, Harrelson’s family did the same for a teenage co-star over three days of normal family life. No lectures, no pamphlets, just proof that it works. We wrote up Woody’s full story here, and if the pattern holds, someone on the Spider-Man set should be going vegan around 2027.
Speaking of which: Spider-Man is quietly the most vegan franchise in Hollywood. Tobey Maguire has been meat-free since 1992. Her favorite documentary, for the record: Blackfish.
